About the Role:
The Senior Specialist – Client Events is an integral part of Latham’s Events team. This role will be responsible for providing assistance to the Manager – Client Events to run a successful events programme, while leading the organisation of events, which involves working independently on projects as well as working with the Manager – Client Events to initially plan, project manage, and attend events. This role will be located in our London office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Other key responsibilities include:
- Drafting budgets for events, seminars, and corporate hospitality, and maintaining a record of expenditure throughout each event project
- Working closely with the Manager – Client Events to process expenses associated with events and reporting on Returns On Investments (ROI) captured by producing post-event reports
- Coordinating general event planning administration, including sourcing relevant materials, preparing delegate lists, issuing invitations, preparing mailshots, working with the Inter Action team on client mailings, processing RSVPs, and creating name badges, etc.
- Leading the development and execution of internal communications, including relevant event communications
- Working closely with partners and fee earners in the preparation of seminar materials, e.g., slides and handouts

- Demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exhibit well-developed, professional interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with clients and staff at all organisational levels of the firm
- Ability to work in a team environment with a customer-service focus
And have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent
- Events qualification, preferably
- Experience in a business development or marketing role
- Professional services environment experience, preferably
