As a Barclays Senior Programme Officer you will manage Execution Risk effectively, deliver on our Group strategy and satisfy all our stakeholders, we must deliver our initiatives consistently and transparently. Programme Management Office (PMO) colleagues ensure initiative delivery is managed in line with the relevant Policies and Standards, using standard processes and tooling to improve the level and likelihood of successful outcomes. You will also help to ensure all stakeholders are aware of initiative progress and have the information they need to make the right decisions in a timely manner.
To be successful as a Senior Programme Officer, you should have experience with
Extensive experience in managing programmes and projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget
Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management, providing clear updates and strategic insights
Skilled in presenting materials tailored to the audience, ensuring engagement and understanding at all levels
Some other highly valued skills may include
Strong financial background with a deep understanding of financial reporting and constructs
Experience in managing and differentiating between budget, forecast, and actuals
Proficient in collating these figures and understanding/supporting the reasons for any discrepancies

The location of this roles is based in Glasgow, United Kingdom Purpose of the role To support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Accountabilities
Support to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.
Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects. .
Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of report on project status to senior management.
Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.
Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects. .
Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.
