Self Employed Van Driver with Own Van
We are looking for a flexible, polite and friendly Self-Employed person with a full drivers licence who is able to do heavy lifting to help us collect furniture from donor's homes.
Farplace animal rescue is a no kill in County Durham specialising in helping animal rejected elsewhere. We have recently opened a number of charity shops selling furniture as well as clothing, bric-a-brac which helps us fund the rescue and make donations to other rescues in need.
It is on a casual basis. We pay £20 per hour, which includes mileage. We prefer a LWB of Luton van but will take into consideration MWB as well.
Your key responsibilities:
Pay: £20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 – 15 per week

Your key responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver donated items, including large furniture and electrical items and assist with the redistribution of stock, fixtures and fittings between branches
- Undertake house clearances and transfer appropriate donated goods to the shop
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate mileage records
- Always maintain a high standard of customer service and strict control of the security of goods collected, transported and delivered.
- A full driving licence and a willingness to travel extensively within, and sometimes outside, the local area
- Helpful, Professional and Positive attitude to represent the charity in people's homes.
- The ability to adhere to health & safety policies both in the store and at external locations.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 – 15 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
- Driving Licence (required)
