Restaurant Team Leader
Team Leader Position Overview:
As a Team Leader you are responsible for making sure the day-to-today operations are carried out by you and your team. Team leaders should set a good example of customer service that is expected throughout all roles. Individuals should be team-oriented, excellent communicators and reliable.
Team Leader Job roles:
Shifts Available:
Weekend Supervisor Only, shifts include alternating opening and closings shifts Thurs-Sun
Opening hours:
8am-6pm

Team Leader Job roles:
- Team Leaders are responsible for how food is handled and hygiene/sanitation in order to maintain a 5* Food Safety/Hygiene Rating.
- Ensuring every team member is working to their best ability and monitoring their performance while creating a positive work environment.
- Setting an example to your team with your excellent work ethic and customer service skills.
- Clear communication with your team when assigning tasks, position changes and duties. Maintaining good time-management throughout the day by making sure tasks are being carried out when needed, i.e. cleaning, set-up/take-down of front counter, ingredient top-ups, table and chairs cleaned, restocking utensils and drinks etc
- Training new employees and ongoing training to existing team members. This will include guiding them through their job role and providing high quality training on food allergens and food handling. (It is mandatory that each team member reads and signs Risk Assessments, Health & Safety in the workplace and other required documents)
- Maintain quality control for all food served (freshness of food, being served at the correct temperature)
- Checking stock levels of packaging
- Managing the till (Cash drawer, Count & Float)
- Routine checks of fridge and food temperatures.

Qualifications
- Supervising experience
- Team management skills
- Culinary experience
- Leadership abilities
- Food safety knowledge
- Hospitality background
- Customer service skills
- Restaurant experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team
- Food preparation and cooking skills
- Bartending experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food production and kitchen operations
- Previous hotel or barista experience is beneficial
