Project Administrator (Maternity Cover)

SPG Fire & Security are currently looking for an experienced administrator to join our growing Project Department. The successful candidate will be joining an independent Fire and Security company with offices based in Galashiels and Straiton (Midlothian).

Job Description
This role is a full time position to cover maternity leave. The administrator will be based in our Midlothian office and provide assistance to the projects department, specifically the Installation Manager, supporting them with tasks such as preparing job packs, ordering stock/kit and tracking part payment applications as well as providing general administrative support to the business. The right candidate will join a team of eight office based staff while also working with our engineers providing support to them as and when required.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Be solely responsible for ordering equipment either for stock or for specific jobs for both the Projects department and Small Works department
· Produce job packs and Risk Assessment and Method Statements for projects and small works
· Handover of relevant completion paperwork to clients – O&M manuals, drawings, certification etc
· Supporting the day to day running of the office
· Handling deliveries
· General office administrative duties such as filing, answering the telephone, dealing with emails
· Booking hotels and travel arrangements for engineers as and when required
Experience
· A good understanding of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Training on company specific software will be provided.
· Experience of working within the Fire & Security industry – preferred but not essential
· Good Telephone manner
· Working experience using Simpro – preferred but not essential
