Part time VAT book-keeper
Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of book-keeping and be proficient in creating VAT returns. A knowledge of Excel and various accounting software packages is required.
Responsibilities
The role is part-time and there will be flexibilty around the hours worked, with the possibility of additional hours in peak times.

Pay: £23,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week

Responsibilities
- Once training is complete you will have regular clients with whom you will liase to obtain information.
- Entering information into software package to generate VAT returns.
- Working with end of year team to finalise accounts.
- Preparation for the transition to Making Tax Digital.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of general bookkeeping principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies in financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
