Part Time Transport Administrator

Title: Part Time Transport Administrator
Location: Grangemouth (office-based role)
Salary: £20,800 per annum (£16.00 per hour)

Hours: 25 hours per week (Mon – Fri 8am – 1pm)
Must be available for full time holiday cover if and when required
Reporting to: Transport Manager

Established in 1998 Falkirk Car Carriers are a family run business who have built a solid base of customers who regularly utilise the reliable services that the Company provides.
Falkirk Car Carriers Ltd specialise in multi-vehicle loads and single vehicle deliveries and have an experienced team that look after the customers’ requirements from initial contact through to final delivery. Falkirk Car Carriers Ltd are proud to have both the resources and experience to accommodate any number of single or multiple vehicle movements quickly and efficiently.
Your Role:
You will be joining an experienced team who have built excellent relationships with their customers which you will continue to provide. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and will be motivated to seek bookings to assist in gaining additional business for the Company.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Transport Manager to embrace Falkirk Car Carrier Ltd’s ‘Customer First Approach’. You will support customers with their queries and make sure that all jobs are quoted correctly contributing to the smooth running of the business.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Forging meaningful relationships with a diverse range of customers
  • Responsible for all administrative duties relating to the transport operation including:
  • Providing accurate costings to customers
  • Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
· Dealing with drivers via telephone and face to face
· Assisting with route planning
· Must have good geographical knowledge of the UK
· Communicating with customers to provide ETA’s for all collections and deliveries
· Communicating with customers via telephone and email
Your Skills:
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with customers
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
Experience:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a transport setting
  • A level of commercial awareness including an understanding of transportation laws and regulations
Additional Requirements:
  • Full UK driving license
Job Type: Part-time
