Wilsons Auctions Group has a requirement for a part time accounts assistant. Based at our Belfast site, this staff member will work 20 hours per week. The exact work pattern is open for discussion.


The role will provide support to the financial controller on all the ad-hoc work of the branch. This may include

• 
  administration of property portfolio
• statistical returns
• data gathering for reports
• assistance with the annual audit
• supplier payments
• vendor payments
• trouble shooting
• holiday cover for colleagues

Wilsons Auctions has grown significantly in recent years and it is important that the successful candidate will assist with strategic plans for the growth of the business. It is important therefore that the successful candidate will be able to deal with changing requirements of the business.


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENT


The candidate will likely display some or all of the following

• independently able to complete reconciliations and raise appropriate queries from an audit perspective
• be able to complete jobs requiring independent decision making and implement changes where required
• good excel skills

Wilsons Auctions Limited is a family owned business which was founded in 1939. The business has expanded to include sites in the Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. It holds a Deloitte Best Managed Company Award.


It is involved in the auction of a wide range of assets including cars, property, commercial vehicles, plant and machinery.


The finance team consists of a Finance Director, a Financial Controller and 5 Belfast based staff.
