Job summary
Eden Fabrications is a dynamic and innovative construction company specialising in structural steel projects. With a strong commitment to excellence and a track record of delivering high-quality work, we are seeking a skilled overhead crane operator to join our team.
As an overhead crane operator, you will be required to operate overhead cranes in a workshop environment within the steel fabrication industry.
Key duties/Responsibilities:
Overhead crane training would be advantageous, however candidates with experience will also be considered.
Experience in handling and moving steel would be an advantage.
General Requirements
The post holder will be required to:

As an overhead crane operator, you will be required to operate overhead cranes in a workshop environment within the steel fabrication industry.
Key duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspect crane for safety and functionality prior to operation
- Lift, move and position heavy steel beams around the factory
- Work closely with the production team to ensure deadlines are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues
- Comply with all company Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment and safe working practices
- Carry out and record regular checks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure efficient operations
- Assist in any other tasks as deemed necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the workshop.
- Good communication skills to effectively co-ordinate with other workers.
- Attention to detail
- Must be able to read and interpret load charts
- Materials handling experience
