Play Fab Ltd is a small but rapidly growing manufacturing company, based in Loanhead. It is the manufacturing division of Inclusive Play (UK) Ltd. We manufacture high quality steel-based play equipment. Our products are sold globally, accounting for 10% of total UK play equipment exports.
We are looking to recruit an Operations Coordinator to join our team in an office-based role.
The ideal candidate will understand the supply chain for a metal fabrication business and will work with our Production Manager to achieve the efficient production of high-quality products while optimising business processes and maintaining a safe working environment.
Duties

• Oversee supply chain management, ensuring timely ordering and delivery of materials and components necessary for production.

• Process all incoming orders through our MRP and finance systems – raise purchase orders to suppliers and sales order confirmations for customers. Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure customer orders are completed on time and on budget.

• Process all customer invoices and provide assistance to the wider management team with period end finance activities.

• Utilise and develop MRP systems for tracking inventory levels, production metrics, and reporting on performance outcomes.

• Maintain relationship with our hauliers to secure best pricing for the business

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production environment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in an operational management role or similar position within a manufacturing setting

• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Experience of working with the steel supply chain is advantageous.

• Familiarity with MRP and finance software is highly desirable

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
