Nursery practitioner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Your ability to communicate effectively with both children and parents will be essential in fostering positive relationships within the nursery setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive care and supervision to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development through play and interaction.
  • Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities, ensuring a smooth flow throughout the day.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, sharing updates with parents during meetings or informal discussions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes equal opportunities for all children.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings, demonstrating leadership qualities in guiding less experienced staff members.
Experience
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is required
  • Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively manage interactions with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities will be advantageous for those looking to take on additional responsibilities within the nursery.
