We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Assistant to join our team. This role is to cover staff absences (illness or holidays). The candidate must be flexible and available at short notice.

Responsibilities
- Support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that all children are engaged and supervised at all times.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
- Manage children's behaviour in a constructive manner, promoting positive interactions among peers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's creativity and exploration through play-based learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is highly desirable.
- Candidates must have level 2 in Childcare or be willing to train while working.
- A background in early childhood education or related fields will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and parents.
Job Type: Permanent
