Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Nursery Assistant to join our team. This role is to cover staff absences (illness or holidays). The candidate must be flexible and available at short notice.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and support to young children. This role involves working closely with children, assisting in their development, and ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. Responsibilities
Support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that all children are engaged and supervised at all times.
Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive nursery environment.
Manage children's behaviour in a constructive manner, promoting positive interactions among peers.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery space, ensuring it is safe and welcoming for all children.
Drive initiatives that encourage children's creativity and exploration through play-based learning.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
Experience
Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is highly desirable.
Candidates must have level 2 in Childcare or be willing to train while working.
A background in early childhood education or related fields will be advantageous.
Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with children and parents.
