We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. Duties
Greet patients and assist them with the check-in process.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members or "Signposting" to the appropriate services.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Process patient prescriptions and information.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organised reception area.
Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication.
Requirements
Proven experience in an administrative or office role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using office software and medical management systems.
A compassionate approach towards patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism at all times.
Knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage but not essential.
