We are looking for a professional, well-organised Librarian. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents, students and staff. You will also require good organisational and planning skills to work well in a very busy environment.
Salary NJC Point 8 £24,702 (actual £15,201.96 per annum (pay award pending).
25 hours a week, Term Time, 8:00am-1:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Handsworth Grammar School (HGS) is voluntary aided, selective grammar school in Handsworth, Birmingham. The school admits boys from the age of 11-18 and, since 1997, girls into its sixth form. Founded in 1862, it the oldest surviving selective school in Birmingham. Lessons focus on both learning habits as well as learning the content of courses and topics. The ten learning habits Handsworth Grammar School aims to build include collaborating, questioning, listening, planning and distillation. A new £1.6 million sixth form centre, offering students their own bespoke area, is linked to the Lodge, where there is a one-stop shop for careers advice and guidance and examinations advice and guidance. Headmaster Mr T Johnson Values and vision Handsworth Grammar School aims to be centre of excellence, taking a creative, innovative and forward thinking approach to learning while both retaining the traditional values of its foundation and embracing the opportunities offered by the technological developments of the modern world. The school has designed a balanced curriculum and endeavours to challenge its students to give of their best in all areas and support them in their efforts, as well as to help them develop self-respect, independence and initiative.
