Kitchen Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hotel dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Supervise and lead kitchen staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Assist in food preparation and grill duties, collaborating with chefs to create innovative dishes.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to ensure consistent service.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and communication among kitchen staff.
  • Address any issues or concerns that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a kitchen setting, preferably in a restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in culinary operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and culinary arts.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
  • A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
