Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a vibrant hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and running smoothly. Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by chefs, ensuring ingredients are ready for cooking.
Help with the storage of food items and supplies, ensuring proper rotation and labelling.
Support chefs and kitchen staff during service periods by providing assistance as needed.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards.
Dispose of waste appropriately and ensure recycling practices are followed.
Assist with deliveries by unpacking and storing supplies in designated areas.
Requirements
Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and help within a team-oriented atmosphere.
Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
