Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our team in Dundee .
The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role involves assisting in meal preparation, food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. Duties
  • Assist with meal preparation and cooking as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Help with the preparation of ingredients for catering events and restaurant services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing up utensils and equipment.
  • Support the team during busy service periods by helping with food preparation tasks as needed.
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to management.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices is essential; a food hygiene certificate is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
