We are seeking a proactive and experienced HR Advisor to join our clients team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-respected professional services firm, providing comprehensive HR support across the business. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting HR operations, driving employee engagement, and driving a positive work culture. Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a variety of HR matters, including performance management, employee relations, absence management, and employee well-being.
Collaborate with senior HR leaders to support recruitment processes, from job requisitions to onboarding.
Manage employee lifecycle activities, including induction, probation, and exit interviews, ensuring all HR processes are conducted smoothly and professionally.
Support the development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.
Assist in performance review cycles, training, and development initiatives, helping to identify skills gaps and training needs within the business.
Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries and ensure the timely resolution of employee issues and concerns.
Work with the wider HR team on strategic initiatives and projects to improve employee engagement and enhance the overall HR service.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, ideally within a professional services environment.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Proactive, solutions-focused approach to handling HR issues.
CIPD qualification or working towards one would be advantageous.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
