Job Summary
Crossroads Community Hub is a local charity seeking to expand their team with a part time Hub Assistant (8 hours/week Tuesday) to support charity food provision.
You will be a team player working with a cook to provide in the region of 300 – 350 soups/meals per week for distribution to our community. The post is based at our purpose-built community facility, Ayrshire Food Hub and is funded by National Lottery Awards for All. Duties Working with a cook to make large batches of food of good nutritional quality. Prepare ingredients for standard recipes Replenish stock Ensure hygiene standards are maintained Complete cleaning duties and maintain all equipment To attend and contribute to team meetings if required. Person Specification Essential Food preparation skills Organisation & time management skills Quick to learn and able to multitask while working at pace A team player with a friendly personality Flexible and reliable to help cover service within any area as required – café, kitchen or farm shop Desirable Experience within a similar service environment. REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent. Awareness of food labelling requirements including allergens Knowledge of the local community. Why Work with us?
