As the largest user of recycled timber in the UK wood panel industry, EGGER has an ongoing requirement for waste wood. We therefore never turn waste wood away at our Timberpak Yorkshire, Timberpak North East, Timberpak Scotland and Timberpak South East sites.

Are you ready to accelerate your career and hit the road to success? EGGER Timberpak in Bellshill is offering a fantastic opportunity to become an HGV Apprentice!
Your Tasks
Your Journey as an HGV Apprentice:
  • Comprehensive Training: Embark on a comprehensive training program, including completion of the Level 2 Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) apprenticeship standard. Gain the skills and knowledge you need to excel in the industry.
  • Master the Wheels: Learn to operate HGVs safely and in compliance with tachograph law and driver's hours limits. Be the captain of the road, ensuring efficient routes and earning the trust of our customers.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Provide outstanding customer service through timely and safe delivery/exchange of containers. Handle customer queries with care, always treating their property with the utmost respect.
  • Support Teamwork: Collaborate with the Site Administration team and assist in the supervision of vehicle loading. Ensure products are securely stored and loaded to prevent damage, highlighting our commitment to quality.
  • Continual Growth: Attend essential continuation training to stay up-to-date with new methods and changes in legislation. Our commitment to your professional development will fuel your success on the road!
Our Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • Clean Driving Licence: Hold a clean UK Driving Licence and be ready to take the wheel of your future.
  • Educational Requirements: Secondary education with at least National 5/GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths (Level 4 and above).
  • Tech-Savvy: Basic IT skills and competent use of Microsoft Office applications are essential.
  • Safety-Minded: Display good health and safety awareness to ensure the well-being of yourself, your team, and our customers.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrate self-motivation, great communication skills, and an ability to connect with people.
