Summerston Childcare are looking for a fully qualified practitioner to work in our Family Learning Centre. Our service is a small service which places importance in relationships with children and families. We work in partnership with Glasgow City Council to offer funded early learning and childcare.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to SVQ Level 3 / HNC Child Care Learning and Development / relevant degree programme or equivalent and will have a minimum of 2 years experience. We will consider full time and part time candidates for this post and we are willing to split the post between two part time candidates. Our service operates Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm 50 weeks per year. Candidates would be expected to work either 9-5 or 10-6.
Candidates should have further training such as First Aid and Food Hygiene. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team working in one of our rooms with either babies, toddlers or 3-5's. We offer a full range of training programmes to our staff and seek to develop staff interests within the early years field.
Experience of working with the Curriculum for Excellence and documents such as Realising the Ambition is required. The ideal candidate should also be committed to continuously developing their role undertaking training and reading. The successful candidate will be required to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council and join the PVG scheme with an enhanced disclosure.
