Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering packages and documents efficiently and safely. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and experience in commercial driving. As a Courier Driver, you will play a crucial part in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities

• Operate a van or other delivery vehicle to transport goods to various locations.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring that items are handled with care and secured properly during transit.
• Communicate effectively with clients and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures when required.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence with a clean driving record or no more than 3 points. experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 25 kg) and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Previous experience in a warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
• A good understanding of local roads and routes is beneficial for efficient navigation.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
