We're Aegon. We're a company of ambitious, positive problem-solvers who get things done. We're a team, not a group of individuals. Collaboration is our life force and we believe it's our duty to leave things better than we find them.
We’re driven by our commitment to helping the UK get ready for retirement. As part of this, we’re constantly developing new ways to simplify, improve and revolutionise how we help individuals, employers, advisers, our communities and the environment. That means we need the right kind of people on our team.
We demonstrate our Purpose everyday through our behaviours: tune in, step up and be a force for good.
As our Colleague Experience Consultant, you will serve as an integral member of our People function. Your role will be pivotal in enabling the Aegon UK business, where you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the colleague and candidate experience and journeys. You will work closely with people leaders, managers, and colleagues to identify pain points, streamline processes, and create a workplace culture that fosters employee engagement and satisfaction, including:
  • Designing maintaining and delivering an overall framework to support experience and journey management across the full range of people journeys, utilising and embedding methodologies taken from human-centred and service design practices.
  • Collaborating with our People team to map the colleague and candidate journeys throughout the lifecycle, identifying touchpoints, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Then working to deliver agreed changes.
  • Utilising colleague feedback and people metrics to track and measure the effectiveness of People initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Building strong working relationships with people leaders, managers, internal SMEs and colleague networks and channels to understand their needs, concerns, and expectations regarding the colleague experience.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience in People/HR, Colleague Experience and/or Customer Experience or Design.
  • Process / journey improvement experience from initial idea to implementation.
  • Change and project management experience.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity to solve problems and generate solutions
  • Experience of user centric design methodologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a high level of empathy and understanding of employee needs
What’s in it for you?
  • A non-contributory pension between 8%-12%
  • A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
  • 36 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our colleagues live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
We support each other to fulfil our ambitions and make a lasting impact on our customers’ lives. If you recognise yourself in this, we’d love to hear from you.
The legal bits
We’ll need you to confirm you have the right to work in the UK. If we offer you a job and you accept, there are some checks we need to complete before you can start with us. This will include a credit and criminal record check, as well as providing satisfactory references.
Equal Opportunity Employer:
We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their age, disability, race, religion/belief, gender, sexual orientation or gender identity.
