The Catering Staff member is responsible for providing excellent service at events and in the kitchen, ensuring that all food needs are met, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include:
Set up and break down catering stations, ensuring that all food items are presented attractively.
Serve food to customers in a timely and professional manner.
Food preparation in the kitchen for the catering events
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen e.g. washing dishes, wiping tables
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food service.
Customer service: serve meals at different kinds of events in a professional matter, ensuring portion control and food safety standards
Requirements:
Be able to adapt to different approaches in the work place and alternate ways of doing things in the kitchen
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Ability to drive (preferred)
Understand the concept of preparing food in the kitchen
Effective communication with colleagues, supervisors and customers
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Time management- being always on time, leaving for events on time
Catering staff may work in various locations, including banquet halls, outdoor venues, and private residences. The role often requires a fast-paced environment, especially during events. Perks:
