Barista/All Rounder
Job Overview:
An exciting opening to join one of County Downs premier cafe bistros. No more late nights here with most shifts finishing at 4pm apart from Saturday which is 5pm. We are looking a competent barista all rounder to join our fantastic team. You should be able to demonstrate great coffee making skills with hand pouring a must. You will also be serving a range of cold drinks and alcoholic drinks so you have to be 18 or over.
We are looking someone with not only good coffee skills but a great friendly can do attitude who puts the customer to the forefront.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Maintain stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash register records
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all products
- Assist in food preparation as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar role is essential
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
