Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team of educators.
Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Individualized Education Program (IEP) Development: Assess students' abilities and needs to develop individualized education plans tailored to their specific requirements.
  • Instructional Planning and Delivery: Design and implement instructional strategies and materials that accommodate diverse learning styles and address individual needs outlined in students' IEPs.
  • Behavior Management: Employ effective behavior management techniques to support positive behavior and address challenging behaviors, fostering a conducive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, therapists, and other professionals to coordinate support services and ensure students' holistic development.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess students' progress, track their development, and communicate effectively with stakeholders about achievements and areas requiring additional support.
  • Advocacy: Advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring their rights are upheld and that they receive appropriate accommodations and support services.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of best practices, emerging trends, and innovations in special education.
  • Equalization is mandatory
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
  • Should possess strong communication, empathy, patience, and collaboration skills to effectively interact with students, families, and other professionals.
  • Familiarity with laws and regulations governing special education, such as the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), is essential for ensuring compliance and advocating for students' rights.
  • Understanding and respecting cultural diversity.
  • 1+ year of experience in Special Education teaching in GCC
  • Willing to travel or relocate to Sharjah
  • Can join immediately
