Sous Chef
1. Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
2. Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
3. Conduct daily shift briefings to kitchen colleagues
4. Ensure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards & expectations
5. Liaise daily with Restaurant Managers to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedback
6. Maintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentation
7. Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
8. Actively interact with guests at tables
9. Balance operational, administrative and Colleague needs
10. Follow HACCP standards
11. Attend the required and mandatory training.
12. Ensure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelines
13. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
14. Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
15. Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
16. To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Manager.
17. To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and follow the company training policy.
