School Information Systems Assistant [Dibba Boys Campus]

  • Key Responsibility 1 – Coordinating International Assessments
  • Support assessment for learning and lead assessment of learning.
Key Responsibility 2 – Advice, Guidance, and Training
  • Conduct training sessions for teachers and SLT on data analysis.
Key Responsibility 3 – Management of Information
  • Lead the implementation of SIMS modules to support assessment and data analysis.
  • Support the use of Learning Ladders to track student progress.
  • Provide training on SIMS and Learning Ladders.
Key Responsibility 4 – Creating Data Charts and Using Data
  • Respond to specific data inquiries, isolate variables, and create visual charts for non-data specialists.
  • Create termly data reports related to international assessment data.
  • Advise teachers on interpreting data and using it to inform their planning.
  • Collaborate with the curriculum coordinator to share key data messages and support curriculum review and adaptation.
Key Responsibility 5 – Complete MOE Data Returns
  • Work with HODs and HOS to collect data and complete curriculum and grading data returns.
  • Complete all required data returns for the MOE.
Key Responsibility 6 – Scheduling
  • Design and build school schedules based on academic requirements.
  • Maintain day-to-day schedules and accurate staff working hour records.
  • Arrange for daily substitution and track staff absence and substitution records.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports for the Principal and SLT on scheduling and staff attendance.
Key Responsibility 7 – Analysis of Staff Observation Data
  • Collect observation data from walk-throughs and formal observations.
  • Create summaries and charts to help SLT/SMT make evidence-based decisions.
Key Responsibility 8 – Reporting to Parents
  • Produce termly report cards.
  • Manage the report checking and validation process.
  • Track the distribution of report cards.
Person Specification – Knowledge and Experience
  • Knowledge of school data requirements.
  • Proficient in various ICT applications, including Excel.
  • Experience with data input and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of Engage or other Management Information Systems.
  • Experience in developing and managing computerized administration systems.
  • Experience working at a senior level and leading a team.
Person Specification – Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data to make informed decisions or recommendations.
  • Skilled in the use of Excel and other data programs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan and implement systems for effective scheduling.
  • Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to produce written reports for various audiences.

  • Collaborate with subject HODs and phase leaders to interpret data and plan interventions.
  • Prepare statistical analysis of internal exams and MAP assessments for the Principal and SLT.
