Joinery Installation Manager

We are looking for a skilled Joinery Installation Manager to oversee the installation of joinery projects at various sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in joinery and carpentry installation, and will be responsible for managing teams, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring that all installation work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Site Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of joinery installation at various project sites, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion.
  • Team Supervision: Lead, coordinate, and supervise joinery installation teams, including joiners, carpenters, and subcontractors; provide training and guidance as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all installations to ensure they meet design specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Develop detailed installation schedules, allocate resources effectively, and ensure all tasks are completed on time.
  • Material Management: Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment; manage inventory on-site.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all installation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during installation, including technical problems, resource shortages, and client concerns.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, documenting site activities, timelines, and any deviations from the plan.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Carpentry, Joinery, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in joinery installation, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of joinery installation techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and plans.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Health and safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.
