Civil Draftsman

Job duties and responsibilities
  • Liaising with architects and engineers to gather product and structural requirements and designs required by the company.
  • Capable of following specifications and calculations to create various technical and specialized drawings.
  • Preparing both rough sketches and detailed with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained drawings.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting rough sketches alongside the engineering team while ensuring that the final designs are compliant with the building regulations.
  • Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the rest of the team.
  • Capable of identifying potential operational issues and redesigning products to improve functionality.
  • Ensuring that final designs comply with regulations and quality standards of the company.
  • Competent in creating manuals that describe existing products’ operation, features and maintenance.
Job qualifications/requirements
  • 2 – 2 ½ years of experience working as a civil draftsman in any GCC country.
  • Diploma or professional qualification in civil draftsman or civil engineering.
  • Hands-on experience using computer-aided design (Auto CAD) software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and attention to detail.
