Python/SDN Engineer (Ukraine)
Purpose of the job:

Our client is a global telecommunications and data center services provider, headquartered in Europe. Position Overview: We seek a skilled and experienced SDN Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, Python programming, database management, and cloud-native technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of Network practices, agile project methodologies, and excellent problem-solving skills.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, Python programming, database management, and cloud-native technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of Network practices, agile project methodologies, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Work in a team of 5 SDN engineers (Ukrainian time zone)
- Contribute to SDN solution architecture
- Enhance and maintain the existing SDN framework
- Use SDN framework for 3rd-party network components migration
MUST HAVE:
- Required:
- Programming: Strong experience in Python.
- Data Modelling: Proficient in YANG, JSON, REST, YAML, and Netconf.
- Confident understanding of SDN, NSO and L2-L3 concept
WOULD BE A PLUS:
- Nice to have:
- Expertise in Lumen Network landscape.
- Database Management: Hands-on experience with Redis, Mongo DB, and Postgre SQL.
- Streaming & Messaging: Proficiency in KAFKA and Rabbit MQ.
- Dev Ops Tools: Expertise in Git/Git Hub, Jenkins, and Azure pipelines.
- Automation & Testing: Skilled in Robot Framework, Ansible, and Postman.
- Cloud-Native Technologies: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile projects, understanding the Agile mode, Dev Ops practices, and SDLC process.
- Linux Skills: Excellent Linux skills for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Networking: Understanding of NSO, SDN, and basic L2-L3 networking concepts. Knowledge of network services such as IPACCESS, IPTRANSIT, and EVPN is a plus.
- Workflow Engines: Previous experience with a workflow engine is an added advantage.
