Job Description: L2 IT Support & Network Engineer
We are looking for an experienced L2 Tech to maintain and improve our computing environment by identifying network needs, installing upgrades, and monitoring performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish network specifications by working with users to analyze workflow, access, and security needs, and designing router administration.
- Set up and maintain networks by evaluating performance issues like availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, while planning and executing network upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and optimize network performance, and escalate unresolved issues to vendors when necessary.
- Ensure network security by managing access, monitoring, control, and documentation.
- Train users by creating and conducting educational programs and offering continuous support.
- Upgrade and improve networks through collaboration with vendors, testing, evaluating, and installing new features and enhancements.
- Support financial operations by submitting budget information and keeping track of expenses.
- Stay updated by participating in training programs, reading industry publications, and building a professional network.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect the organization’s data.
- Achieve organization goals by taking ownership of new tasks and finding ways to add value.
- Proven experience in network administration.
- Expertise in networking, routing, and switching.
- Knowledge of server management and infrastructure control.
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and remote troubleshooting.
- Ability to configure server hardware.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Certifications like CCNA, Network+, CCNP, or equivalent.
- BSc in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree with a focus on electronics preferred.
