This role involves sourcing goods and services, managing the supply base for components, implementing procurement practices, negotiating supplier agreements, and mitigating supply chain risks; additionally, supporting internal stakeholders, converting purchase requisitions into orders, attending cross-functional meetings, and focusing on continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing of goods and services
- Select, develop and manage supply base for components in upcoming and existing designs
- Manage strategic sourcing of components
- Implement standard indirect procurement practices
- Negotiate complex and or critical supplier agreements in line with existing strategies
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks
- Create, maintain, and publish regular metrics
- Support internal stakeholders with their procurement needs
- Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders in SAP
- Attend cross functional team meeting and support internal customer needs
- Conduct continuous improvement efforts focused on optimizing procurement process
Education & Experience
- Degree in Engineering, Economy or Finance
- 5 or more years of experience in purchasing area
- Knowledge in SAP (preferable)
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and customers
- Solid knowledge of related government laws and regulations
