In this Role you will function as a local point of contact for HP Hybrid Businesses.
This Role is closer located to the Pattaya Region (Chonburi-Based) in Thailand and is looking for a talented and highly motivated Strategic Procurement to join our team in our supplier facility (Hybrid, WFH and working on site supplier some days per week).
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement strategies, ensuring cost efficiency, and enhancing supplier relationships by being physically present at 1 or 2 sites.
Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions. Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise in a timely and effective manner.
On-site Presence: Regularly visit supplier facilities and production sites to assess capabilities, quality standards, and compliance with contractual requirements. Provide on-site support and guidance as needed to ensure smooth operations and address any procurement-related challenges including and not limited to do physical cycle counts.
Cost Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards. Identify opportunities for cost savings through process improvements, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing solutions.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the supply chain and develop mitigation plans to minimize disruptions. Monitor supplier performance and compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and logistics teams, to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively to gather requirements and provide updates on procurement initiatives.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify areas for optimization and efficiency gains.
Qualifications:
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Masters Degree preferred.
Proven experience in strategic procurement, sourcing, and supplier management.
Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes.
Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
Ability to travel extensively to supplier sites and other locations as needed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
Typically has 6-8 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, supply chain, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
