Job Purpose Coordinate, shape, and champion future improvement actions to meet the companies: Environmental, Carbon Reduction and SDG objectives and targets. Additionally support the LET HSE Manager with maintaining the Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability Systems.
Job Context The role will be based in Thailand focusing on regional sustainability objectives, projects, and support HSES activities in Thailand Office and Plant, Malaysia, and Australia. The Lucy Group is committed to reducing its carbon impact by focusing on solutions, communities, and environments. Strategically this will include the adoption and management of sustainability initiatives such as UN SDGs. Certified Carbon Reduction, System and CSR Programs. At the same time considerable efforts are being made to support our customers and grow the business through products and services such as Renewable’s connections, Electric Vehicles and Smart Cities. This role will support an existing network of people driving high profile continuous improvement initiatives along a pre-defined but adaptable road map aimed toward meeting strategic objectives and targets.
Job Dimensions Key Responsibilities Include:
Coordinating with site led sustainability improvement activities and their department managers and groups.
Data management and reporting of overall performance, including evaluation, trend analysis to determine areas for improvement and action plans.
Reporting progress using company operating system(s)
Promote and champion improvement activities that align with operational and strategic goals of the business, these activities will demonstrably contribute towards meeting net zero goals
Ensuring data is sourced, collated, analysed, and reported in accordance with Carbon Reduce quantification standards and company requirements.
Undertaking desktop research on sustainability issues, latest innovations and technology
Working with area and department managers to write case studies and other material for internal and external audiences
Maintenance of sustainability content relating to site activities
Conducting site assessments/audits as necessary and closing out any issues/concerns
Ensuring environmental/sustainability compliance obligations are understood, managed and reported in accordance with business system requirements.
Ensuring the company remains informed of internal and external sustainability events that might affect stakeholders i.e. compliance, methodologies, systems, any specific requirements.
Data capture, processing, and analysis.
Support stakeholder engagement and external presentations
Attending, representing, and supporting global working groups and involvement as necessary in group-level activities.
Additional supporting responsibilities include:
Support the LET HSE Manager with:
o Maintaining HSE Legal Compliance o Maintain a safe working environment for all Employees and Visitors to Regional Lucy sites. o Continuous improvement of and development of a positive Health & Safety culture in the workplace o Maintain and support HSE Continuous Improvement and Group strategies in the workplace. o Implementation of HSE Strategies in accordance with current and future legislation, Group Best Practice, policies, and procedures. o Maintain the Risk Reduction Programs and associated KPIs and databases o Maintain records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements. o Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for Managers. o Support the Lucy Audit programs including ISO 14001 and 45001 o Undertake site Health and Safety Inspections and Safety Audits. o Publish statistics and progress reports monthly and as requested o Maintaining HSE Documentation and the Documentation management systems. o HSE Training
We are looking for a self-starter with a relevant qualification and experience in an environmental or sustainability-related subject, we would also expect a practical working knowledge of ISO14001:2015 and UN Strategic Development Goals (SDG) This is a wide-reaching role working across the globe and a passion for sustainability is a must. Qualifications, Experience & Skills Desired Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
BEng or BSc in Sustainability Environmental Sciences or Equivalent
Experience of working in Environmental, CSR or Sustainability
IEMA Qualification in Environmental Sustainability
Knowledge of Science Based Targets, UN SDGs and Achilles Carbon Reduce
Strong knowledge of environmental issues and trends
Experience in HSE Audits such as ISO 14001 and 45001
Excellent practical skills in the use of MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English and Thai)
