Therapist Key Responsibility Areas
Conduct pre-admission assessments, balancing client goals, therapeutic community goals, and management goals using the Miracles Asia pre-assessment process.
Provide timely mental health assessments and initial therapy/counseling upon client admission.
Offer continuous AOD and trauma-informed therapy/counseling to allocated clients.
Engage clients and their families actively, helping them utilize their individual programs effectively and make informed decisions about their post-treatment futures.
Facilitate evidence-based psychoeducation sessions and process groups as needed.
Ensure development and implementation of individualized treatment plans and relapse prevention strategies.
Participate in daily handovers and clinical team meetings to ensure cohesive client care.
Maintain high standards in addiction counseling, treatment, and rehabilitation, participating in quality reviews and continuous improvement measures.
Welcome and orient new clients, conduct thorough property searches to ensure safety, and facilitate the signing of all necessary documentation.
Educate clients about the withdrawal process and available medical support, ensuring they communicate any issues promptly.
Keep accurate and up-to-date client records, adhering to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.
Contribute to program quality improvement and compliance with accreditation standards.
Manage data collection and reporting processes.
Engage in ongoing professional development activities, including supervision sessions and relevant training as directed by the Clinical Director.
Collaborate in peer review sessions to enhance clinical skills and share best practices.
Participate in regular feedback cycles with the clinical team to refine therapeutic approaches and ensure alignment with current industry standards.

Organizational Relationships
Reporting Structure: Directly reports to the Clinical Director, with additional reporting lines to the Managing Director and Assistant Managing Director.
Team Collaboration: As a member of the Clinical Team, the AOD and Trauma Therapist works closely with fellow AOD and Trauma Therapists, Support Workers, 12-step Facilitators, and facilitators of various Miracles Asia activities and programs.
