Our precision components are at the heart of the energy and chemical industry’s most marvellous machines – with market leading fluid control products tackling the most extreme operating conditions and engineering challenges on the planet. At the heart of our offering are Actuators, Positioners Final Control elements like solenoid valves, air preparation equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic pressure switches, I/P and E/P convertors, and redundant valve manifold systems (RVM). In addition, Instrumentation will be working to bring a new range of monitoring devices to market.
Role Overview
The Sales Manager, reporting to Sales Director, SEA, will be responsible for building on current success and continuing to expand the sales performance in the territory assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Achieving the annual order and sales budget for the territory
Develop penetration strategies for key targets accounts in the assigned territory. Formulating strategies and recommendations to expand OEM and End-users markets.
Channel management. Proactively manage and develop IMI distribution network to meet sales objectives.
Work closely with internal departments, manage daily sales operation to meet customers’ expectations.
Collaborate with overseas colleagues in cross-border project opportunities. These include exchange of project information, coverage of End-user, EPC, OEM in his/her assigned territory.
Providing technical/engineering advice on products to design institutes and end-users so that our products are specified on customers' preferred vendor list.
Assisting with regular business forecasting and annual budgeting.
Monitor and communicate market trends. Submitting regular sales reports on market trends, competitor dynamics, new product applications, new business opportunities.
Assisting with trade shows, exhibitions and seminars where the company or product is presented and provide professional presentation or product demonstrations to customers.
Act in a manner consistent with the scope and principles of all company policies, codes of conduct and core values.
Critical Competencies for Success
Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales / Commercial Operations, focusing on Instrumentation segment (upstream/downstream), petrochemical, and power industries.
Proven track records in managing distributors. Good leadership skills to lead distributor through change. Experience with Thailand valve OEM and EPC will be an advantage.
Technical knowledge. Candidate with prior experience in pneumatic, hydraulic and instrumentation controls fields will be preferred.
Strong hunter instinct and strong track record of sales achievement in Instrumentation segment.
Good sense of business acumen. Ability to sell through various strategies, e.g., value proposition, portfolio selling, technical solution and strong customer relationships.
Discipline and self-motivator. Must be able to work under pressure to plan and execute strategies with minimum guidance.
Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/ Intrumentation).
