Develops and evaluates the mechanical design of e Bike frame studies and e Bike drivetrain interfaces based on appropriate validation criteria. Works with local bicycle industry manufacturers in Taiwan and Asia, as well as engineering departments at Bosch e Bike Systems headquarter in Germany, to ensure project success.
- Independently develop, perform and evaluate design studies e.g for frames interfaces, crank arms and chainring interfaces and chain boxes for new Bosch e Bike Systems products such as center drive units
- Actively coordinate and be responsible for prototype manufacturing of design studies, ensuring on time, on spec, on budget delivery of planned prototypes. Drive the arrangement of frame and component certification testing and procurement.
- Show initiative to invite and perform engineering design reviews online meetings with e Bike HQ and suppliers, providing feedback especially regarding bike industry standards, e Bike integration and manufacturability.
- Assurance local support for Bosch drive unit interface component suppliers to achieve their product requirements.
- Work hand in hand with cross-functional Taiwanese and Asian suppliers (also on-site) to obtain and gather bicycle industry insights. Evaluate, summarize feedback and communicate within the Bosch e Bike Systems organization.
- Communicate and cooperate independently with external suppliers and align the results with internal colleagues to generate an overview of potential suppliers for different component manufacturing technologies.
- Be part of the international Bosch e Bike Family and the intercultural development teams working on new products and innovations. Be part of the next big thing!
