Sr. Manager – Commercial Operation

Position Overview Sr. Manager – Commercial Operation, reporting to the Executive Director – DBU & CMO of Lilly Taiwan affiliate, will own the affiliate responsibilities of designing, developing, and implementing the organizational process to enhance the operational effectiveness of the commercial functions. The role will lead the Commercial Operation team (including 5 Operation Stewards) to drive the affiliate outcome by partnering with 3 Business Units (DBU, IMBU, and ONBU) and other Central Marketing functions with a primary focus on enhancing the commercial processes through constant prioritization, simplification, and automation. The candidate will be a key business partner to other non-commercial functions (e.g. E&C, Medical, Tech@Lilly etc.) to influence and drive the process optimization with Lilly’s ethical standards.
Responsibilities Objective 1: Team Management and Cross-Functional Leadership
High-Performance Culture – cultivate the culture of high performance-winning team through strong leadership behaviors and organizational influence
Team Development – develop the individual capabilities by acting on team members’ development plan
Cross-functional Engagement – establish effective cross-functional communication (e.g. BU, E&C, Medical, etc.) to ensure clear priorities and appropriate engagement with key stakeholders
Vendor Management – build regular relationships with vendors to manage the working relationships with contractors
Administration – manage regular administrative deliverables of direct reports such as timesheets, onboarding, training, etc.
Objective 2: Oversight and Enhancement of Commercial Processes and System Maintenance
Promotional and Educational Materials and Systems – materials review, retirement, system management
Meeting Process and Systems – Veeva Event Management (VEM) process, Customer Meeting Services (CMS) setup and localization
HCP Process – MSA, FMV, speaker management (e.g. speaker slots, training checklist, TLMap)
3rd Party and Vendor Process – travel agencies for HCP accommodation, travel, meeting venues, and vendor documentation management
Sponsorship Process – process and documentation for affiliate sponsorships of independent meetings
Payment Process – vendor PO and payment, non-DR and web-DR, Fiori management, accrual process
Sample Process – sample approval and tracking
Objective 3: Organizational Transformation and Leadership
Artificial Intelligence (AI) – spearhead in using the AI tools, techniques, and resources from Lilly to enhance the internal efficiency within the Commercial Operation and demonstrate measurable outcomes in collaboration with Tech@Lilly
Procedure Updates – lead the commercial procedure updates as the subject matter expert (SME), in partnership with other lead team stakeholders, and establish a tracking system to ensure the procedure implementation
Risk Management – collaborate with the E&C function to drive the progress of affiliate prioritized risk areas (e.g. promotional activities) and communicate effectively to the affiliate or NAPAC leadership team.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and above
Over 8 years of commercial working experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point is a must.
Fluent in English communication
