Job Description
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Engineer II, Field Service to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional technical service, installation, operation, training, and repair of specialized equipment, with a focus on LCMS product service support.
- Undertake product installation on client premises and deliver training and technical advice on instrument use.
- Investigate difficulties and solve faults arising from operation or utilization, ensuring flawless performance.
- Act as a liaison between customers, Sales, and Marketing, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Monitor repairs, warranty coverage, and make suggestions for product improvements.
- Schedule and carry out planned maintenance calls and perform regular customer visits.
- Make recommendations regarding spare parts and assist with equipment monitoring.
Requirements:
- Bachelor/Master of Science in Chemistry/Biochemistry, Engineering, or equivalent background, with consideration given to candidates with proven experience.
- 2-3 years of Field Service Engineering experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or with a research background.
- LCMS experience is essential.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Exceptionally organized, with a keen eye for detail and adept at effectively prioritising multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication abilities ideal for a role that involves interacting with others.
- Self-motivated and proactive in technical and support approach.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
