For January 2025, we are looking for a full/part-time Chinese teacher to join our diverse Languages Department. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic mother-tongue teacher to teach students aged 8 to 18, in preparation for the IB.
At Le Rosey, our commitment to mother-tongue lessons is integral to our curriculum, offering an exciting opportunity for the ideal candidate to play a pivotal role in enhancing students’ cognitive, written, and verbal communication skills while fostering cultural understanding and strengthening cultural identity.
The successful candidate will:
Have extensive postgraduate and pedagogical training in Chinese language and literature
Possess a recognised teaching qualification
Have relevant teaching experience, and we would particularly welcome candidates with International Baccalaureate (IB) literature experience.
Have a valid Swiss work permit.
A good command of English and/or French would be an advantage.
We seek to appoint someone who possesses a Swiss work permit. It is not possible to obtain new work permits for non-EU citizens for part-time positions, for example. Consequently, applications that do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
