Scope of the role
The World Economic Forum is looking for a vision mixer to join its Studios & Live Production team, helping to deliver high quality video content both at its studios in Geneva and at live events. This role requires technical precision, quick thinking and close collaboration with the production team to bring dynamic visuals and stories to life.
Responsibilities
Operate the vision mixing console during live broadcasts and recorded sessions, ensuring smooth transitions between camera feeds, graphics, and other visual elements.
Work closely with the director and production team to execute the creative vision for each production.
Prepare and configure vision mixing setups in advance, including loading video sources, graphics and effects. Prepare equipment when required and participate to end-to-end tests and rehearsals.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during production, maintaining composure and professionalism.
Manage and coordinate multi-camera operations, ensuring all feeds are correctly framed and aligned with the production’s needs. Ensuring session recordings are archived and sent to post-production unit when needed.
Assist with other studio operations, including camera setup, lighting, and audio when required.
Participate in pre-production meetings to understand projects’ scope and the technical requirements of physical and hybrid productions.
Required skills
Proven experience as a Vision Mixer in a live or studio environment with a strong portfolio of past work.
In-depth knowledge of vision mixing consoles and related equipment.
Familiarity with video production workflows, including multi-camera setups, live streaming, and broadcast standards.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks and making quick decisions.
Strong technical troubleshooting skills, particularly in a live production environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse production team.
Flexibility to adapt to different roles within the studio as needed.
Fluency in English, other languages a plus.
