Facilities and Maintenance Associate Manager

Who You Are:
A self-starter, used to work in a fast passed, continually evolving environment and as such challenging but simultaneously rewarding, hands-on with a great deal of autonomy and responsibility.
What You’ll Do:
This position is to manage the maintenance of Capri Holdings Europe for all the retail stores. The facilities as well maintenance component is the day-to-day reactive and planned repair and maintenance program that ensure we keep our property clean, efficient and brand right.
The Associate Manager of Facilities will support all the facilities and maintenance activities within assigned territory. The Associate Manager will be first point of contact for internal and external customers seeking support and information from the FM organization of Michael Kors. The AM will provide support to the FM manager and the facilities organization.
  • Provide in the field support for RDO/DM regarding any property or facilities related issue. Dedicated to an operational region, with the sole purpose of providing an enhanced facilities management service.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled calls with brands Retail Team to partner on the resolution of the most pressing issues within the budget.
  • Manage Capri Holdings corporate and stores’ emergency, monthly, quarterly, and annual store maintenance, store refresh and retrofit work in a timely manner.
  • All work shall be assigned to approve regional vendors. Where a national agreed contract is in place, the appointed vendor will receive instruction for all works, unless agreed with Facilities Manager in advance.
  • Ensure repairs are completed within the timing allotted, partnering with the Construction Manager as needed.
  • Determine the nature and urgency of the repair problem and report the problem to the appropriate vendor.
  • Administer in-store cleaning and maintenance tutorial to Retail Team and their cleaning vendors.
  • Obtain and evaluate competitive bids from service contractors for all Capitalized projects.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of all work between the maintenance contractor and the stores / facilities.
  • Assist with rotating schedule of after-hours and weekend on call for emergency service calls.
  • Analyze maintenance requests in maintenance platform to determine if there are any reoccurring issues that need to be addressed.
  • Regular visits to Flagships for walk-throughs to ensure maintenance needs are being addressed.
  • Participated in Monthly budget review meetings with Finance.
  • Manage new store creation processes in the Facilities Management System. Ensures that stores have relevant planned maintenance completed to meet statutory requirements.
  • Monitors equipment performance and evaluates service warranty issues for capital equipment. Manages equipment inventories and asset tracking.
  • Manages regional/national vendors for facilities repair and maintenance. Conducts vendor performance reviews against SLA and KPI’s.
  • Manages capital projects, equipment replacement, minor retrofit and enhancement, and other initiatives. Reviews quotations received from vendors and executes capital projects to completion.
  • Coordination of helpdesk team ensuring all the relevant request have been addressed properly/ facilities database management.
  • Ensure follow up and updates of tasks in the system to the relevant country manager
  • Keep track and update all the facilities department files providing evidence monthly basis
  • Maintaining records and contracts updated of all the external contractors in support of the FM department.
  • Support in creation of facilities and maintenance policy and process keeping them updated.
  • Occasional front desk support during receptionist absence

You will need to have:
  • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject area
  • 3-5 years’ international experience in the facilities retail operation, construction industry planning/ design/ construction environment involving an aggressive expansion of retail stores preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with strong initiative on many projects simultaneously with aggressive timelines is imperative.
  • English (fluent) is a must, any additional language (e.g., German, French) is an advantage.
  • An understanding of budgeting and planning.
  • Knowledge of EMEA Statutory Legislation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and in a matrixed organization.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Flexible to work outside of regular office hours.
  • Ability to travel.
