You will be part of a team that has full responsibility for Electrical Architecture and Systemizing the electrical system towards and make our future needs and feature growth are secured technically in our platforms. To simplify: You will be the person to guarantee that everything will work in the car.
What You’ll Do
Your focus is to make sure our future and current platforms are commissioned and hardened and robustified from bring-up to launch on the market. You will keep together a technical team and lead root cause analysis, understand technical solutions and find ways and paths in the organization to solve integration and symptoms found during integration. You will lead activities and define test activities and bring in learnings to balance complexity, feature growth, variants towards technical risk, competitiveness and cost. You are familiar with concepts and domains such as BSW, UDS, Ethernet and CAN protocols, along with computing infrastructures, ADAS and connectivity, Charging and Propulsion. You will ensure that our System Analysis team with architects and developers lead activities in bring-up and root cause analysis and proactively performs test campaigns and fault injection on complete electrical architecture level. You will work closely together with other Architects, Program teams and Chief Architect for Volvo Car OS. You will contribute to SW implementation and have a close collaboration with System designers, SW architects and SW developers. Together you will clarify questions regarding specifications, work processes, system design and quality assurance activities.
Who you are
To be a match for this role we see that you have...
M.Sc. in Computer Science and Software Engineering or similar relevant experience
At least 10 years of relevant work experience as software architect or system engineer/designer combined with technical leading roles.
Documented skills in managing system and software architecture for large scale embedded systems
AUTOSAR BSW Knowledge and knowledge about POSIX environments and Embedded Systems
Experience from leading industrialization in automotive programs
Experienced in power supply and redundancy methodology including understanding analysis on electrical integration and developing software.
Work experience from the automotive industry, preferably within Volvo Cars and within different domains within the automotive industry (Propulsion, Con X, Vehicle Engineering, Core Computing Infrastructure or ADAS)
Experience with ISO26262 and ISO 21434
