We also believe you are a curious person and want to go from idea to practice. You will be involved in developing our products by discovering the information hidden in vast amounts of data from primarily our electrical vehicles.
Role Summary:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting Electromobility product development and evolution. By leveraging historical data and prediction models, you will communicate valuable insights. Your core responsibilities will include ensuring data collection and quality, contributing to the establishment of a robust data infrastructure, data visualization, statistical analysis, collecting and cleaning data, processing large datasets, descriptive analytics, and diagnostic analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Move beyond compiling data to help tell the story behind the numbers by combining the right visuals and narrative with relevant data to stimulate new perspectives and drive change.
Use reporting and visualization to create answers to questions we haven't yet asked, demonstrating a passion for uncovering connections that may not be immediately clear to others.
Serve as a data advocate, eager to learn and share best practices across the Volvo Group.
Enrich the existing landscape of data sources by identifying critical information needs and connecting them into our models through cross-functional partnership and collaboration.
Work with high-resolution data from test- and customer vehicles to understand usage and support engineers with product development.
Collaborate and network with stakeholders within and outside Volvo.
Identify and integrate existing and new data by working closely with the engineering team and various stakeholders to improve product and service capabilities.
Technical Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in data analytics, particularly as a data analyst/scientist within the Automotive Industry.
Experience in driving and implementing Analytics/Data Science insights, preferably in a global environment.
Proficient with relevant technical tools, platforms, and systems such as Python, Git Hub, Cloud Analytics, SQL, Data Bricks, KNIME, Power BI, etc.
Experience working with Spark and high-resolution time series data.
Knowledge of data communication, telematics, and truck services is a bonus.
Understanding of internal Volvo data flow is a bonus.
Experience in analytics from the service and aftermarket business in the transport industry is a bonus.
