Alfa Laval in Lund is looking for MES System Support.
Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
What you can expect
You will be part of Alfa Laval’s MES core team, based in Lund. The MES core team is responsible for requirement specifications, development, rollout, support and governance of Alfa Laval’s MES solution.
The rollout of Alfa Laval MES is ongoing, and it is now live in four of Alfa Laval’s production sites. As the number of installations and overall application use increases, the need for system support will also increase.
You will be the sites’ main point of contact for 1st line support of MES, i.e. identifying, logging, categorizing, prioritizing and, where possible, resolving functional and technical issues. When needed, you will route incidents to internal and external specialists and ensure effective communication about progress with end-users and relevant stakeholders. Furthermore, you will support authorized users with service requests, access management and improvement requests.
We offer a challenging and rewarding position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success.
Some key responsibilities will be to:
-
Provide prompt and efficient support, problem analysis and change management to Alfa Laval’s sites.
-
Cooperate with colleagues and other teams to ensure system availability, performance and quality.
-
Establish and maintain support documentation, including troubleshooting guidelines.

-
Installation activities (preparation, installation, master data loading and verification).
-
Test activities (sprint tests and release tests)
-
MES change-advisory board (CAB) meetings.
-
Alignment meetings with other support teams.
You will be part of the team in our Lund office, with the flexibility to occasionally work from home.
You should expect about 20-30 travel days per year, primarily to visit our factories, located all over the world.
During hyper care periods, you might need to work extended hours and/or outside of office hours.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you need to be an excellent problem-solver, with the ability to keep track of and prioritize between many tasks. You are open minded, with a collaborative and positive mindset. You are comfortable working in a team and finding the best solution together with external parties.
