[Responsibilities] This role is crucial in ensuring the proper use of the Impella heart pump system and in collaborating with hospitals to improve patient care quality.
Support for Impella Procedures:
1. On-site Clinical Support: Provide direct clinical support to medical staff while using the device. Offer expert guidance on the installation and management of the system. 2. Pre- and Post-Procedure Training: Educate physicians, nurses, and hospital staff on the proper use and management of the system and provide advice on patient care with our product.
In-Service Training:
1. Ongoing Education and Training: Deliver training to hospitals and procedure teams on the latest information and techniques for using Abiomed products. Lead the education on newly released products and how to use them effectively. 2. Development of Training Materials: Create and provide customized educational materials tailored to the needs of medical staff.
Patient Monitoring and Feedback:
1. Monitor patients to ensure that the device is properly installed and that the patient’s condition remains stable, providing relevant feedback to the medical team.
Collaboration with Medical Staff:
1. Work closely with the hospital's medical team to assist in the development of patient treatment plans and contribute to achieving the best procedural outcomes through analysis and recommendations.
Troubleshooting Product Issues:
1. Address and resolve any product-related issues that may arise during the procedure, ensuring the proper maintenance and troubleshooting of the system.
Responsible to drive patient outcomes and utilization through algorithm, best practices, customer education and medical staff interaction for new and existing accounts including training needs assessment, development of suitable training plan, execution of training and any necessary follow up.
Drive excitement, the cost-effectiveness proposition and vision of heart recovery for the patients who may benefit from Impella by working with multiple stakeholders (IC, CTS, HF, ICU) to understand and identify local dynamics and to address barriers of adoption.
Develop meaningful relationships to keep the therapy top of mind so physicians will increase awareness of Heart Recovery Program, identify appropriate patients who may benefit and recommend the therapy.
Market products directly to hospitals by organizing structured appointments & meetings with Interventional Cardiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Intensivists, Heart Failure Specialists, Purchasing and Administration staff.
Identify and open new sites using structured program approach and launch protocol/best practices.
[Requirements]
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Cardiovascular Technology, or a related healthcare field.
Advanced certifications in cardiology, critical care, or related specialties are often preferred.
5+ years overall experience in the healthcare setting within device/pharma industry or hospital setting
Minimum of 2~3 years of clinical experience in Interventional Cardiology, cardiac surgery, or similar environment.
Previous experience with medical devices, especially those used in cardiovascular procedures, is highly preferred.
Hands-on experience in a hospital or catheterization lab (Cath Lab), ICU, or operating room (OR) environment is advantageous.
