Closing Date: 01/10/2024 Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Engineering Department, at the Gqeberha Manufacturing Plant. The successful applicant will report to the Engineering Specialist. Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Do a daily spot check of at least 20 stock items.
Receives all goods and check quantities, quality and price.
Sign delivery notes if correct.
Return goods to suppliers if necessary.
Enter info on computer when required.
Issues items from stock on a daily basis.
Issues tools from tool store on a daily basis.
Issues materials from cable, v-belt, oil, gas, steel, paint and chemicals stores.
Complete the required documents for the receipt or return of goods.
Receive all delivery notes relevant to the purchasing of items and check the delivery notes with the order document.
Forward all delivery notes with the order document for processing to the Engineering Stores Controller.
Complete all delivery notes, order documents, invoices, etc and forward for processing when required.
Ensure good housekeeping.
Adhere to all safety standards.
Stand in for colleagues or similar position or for the Engineering Stores Controller when necessary.
Assist with on the job training to maintain service levels.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Minimum Grade 12
At least one-year experience in Engineering or Dry goods stores is essential
Mechanical aptitude.
Computer literate in MS Office (experience in SAP will be advantageous)
Must be self- motivated and able to work without supervision
Ability to work under pressure
Methodical, accurate and conscientious worker
Working knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards
Have reliable transport
Work shifts and overtime, as well as perform stand-in duties as required
