Job Description OVERVIEW: Sportradar, a leading digital international sports business is currently looking to recruit an experienced commercial/sales executive to grow our African continent's digital advertising sales. Sportradar is a worldwide leader in sports data and audiovisual services for bookmakers. Over the course of the last year Sportradar significantly expanded its range of products & services by establishing Sportradar ad:s, a business division focused on data-driven marketing services designed for betting operators. This business division is looking forward to bringing our marketing capabilities, products and services to support this growing market. This role will be responsible for selling marketing solutions to our existing network of sports betting and casino operators as well as other businesses interested in digital marketing solutions. You will be responsible to build up and use your network to advertising partners, primarily sports betting operators.
THE CHALLENGE:
This role will drive independent sales activities for digital advertising products, especially programmatic advertising, paid social and paid search geared towards sports betting and casino operators
Present and pitch advertising opportunities to potential customers throughout the African continent, negotiate deals, acquire and retain new customers
Oversee relationship management and support for existing clients
Be part of Sportradar’s core global ad:s team, collaborating and sharing best practices as you establish and shape the regional advertising strategy
Define, test and optimize business and pricing models with attractive offerings for key clients and partners with profitability contribution for Sportradar
Actively engage in the African regional betting ecosystem, interact with key players, establish key relationships and gain a deep understanding of the setup and needs of all stakeholders
Communicate the ad:s strategy to external and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Support and consult product teams to optimize the products from a sales perspective
Both domestic and international travel is required for internal and client meetings
YOUR PROFILE:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering digital marketing solutions, ideally within the betting industry. Having worked within the marketing department of a sportsbook, Casino or a media agency is highly beneficial
Expertise in sales and marketing, with demonstrated success pitching new business and building long-term relationships with clients
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Understanding of advertising business models
Understanding of the sports betting eco-system
A broad international network to advertising partners, especially from the sports betting industry would be a great plus
