Job Description Main Purpose of Job This is a senior manager role responsible for content development and programme management for the Africa Executive & Board Relationships function.As part of the Africa Growth Office, the purpose of this function is to build brand, reputation and advocacy to develop and deepen trusted relationships with our most important clients. Based in Johannesburg, you will be responsible for the role-specific relationship programmes for Chairs, Non-Executive Directors, Audit Committees and Chief Financial Officers. Differentiators for the role: The Senior Manager within the Africa Executive & Board Relationships Programme will demonstrate a deep understanding of the dynamics of boards and the c-suite. The role requires audience insight, strategic thinking, programme management, content development and delivery excellence. Responsibilities include: Strategy
Develop and execute clear and compelling programme strategies and high-impact implementation plans.
Content
Develop annual content approach, plan and lead content development, and originate and write programme content.
Relationship development
Enable and accelerate the development of programmes and relationships with clients. Implement subject matter expertise to create best practice and opportunities to develop client relationships. Ensure ongoing relationship development with programme alumni.
Delivery excellence
Design and drive the seamless execution of go-to-market activities to ensure reach, targeted participation and consistent high-quality client experience. Collaborate with the Growth Office ecosystem to market offerings and create eminence for programmes.
Governance
Manage independence and risk requirements to ensure compliance. Compile performance reports to demonstrate impact and inform decision-making.
Key Performance Areas: Strategic Impact
Interrogates, clearly understands and communicates to team the agreed strategic objectives of both own Service Area and that of the client Service Line/s
Manages the implementation of the strategic imperatives in line with service area strategy relating to:
Implementation of change initiatives within designated area/s
Management of the implementation of plan on a day-to-day basis with team
Clear and regular communication with superior and team on implementation status
Supports own Service Line leadership in carrying out EXCO mandate
Budgets & Profitability
Provides annual budget input for area of responsibility for approval and integration into growth team budget
Operational Effectiveness
Manage day-day operations and delivery to stakeholders
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Marketing
Desired Qualifications
Post Graduate Qualification
Minimum Experience
Extensive marketing experience at professional services firms (8-10 years)
Proven track record delivering projects targeted at boards and senior executives of industry-leading South African corporates (2-5 years)
Desired Experience
5 years’ experience as a marketing manager at professional service firms
